| Malay-Polynesian in origin, some of the people are of Chinese and Spanish ancestries. Distinctively, they are hospitable, friendly and peace-loving and religious people.

     The common tongue used is the Albay accent of Bicol Dialect. Tabaqueno's also
     fluently speak and understand the national language (Tagalog). English is not difficult
     for them to communicate with liberal stature.
|
     On the social aspect, Tabaqueno's was not far behind in Education. There is a
     school both in private and public school in all levels (Elementary, Secondary,
     Collegiate). Tabaco houses a numerous college from Fishery, Education,
     Law, Nursing and Information Technology.

     Majority of the inhabitants is Catholics who go to mass at their respective parishes.
     Most religious sects are represented from Seventh Day Adventist, Bible Baptist,
     Evangelist, Iglesia ni Kristo, Islam and Jehovas Witness.

| Characterized by no definite dry season with a very pronounced maximum rain period from November to January.

     Basically, Tabaco is one of the two commercial districts of the province followed by
     agriculture. Their chief products are rice, rootcrops, and vegetables; exporting
     abaca products, and copra care. Its rich fishing ground and sources of water supply
     which is the best water. Cutlery/Metacraft industry is a pioneering industry of the
     city since the early 20's Woodcraft industry is also blooming business of the city
     producing high quality of export rattan and hardwood furniture's in the early 80's
     that are in great demand in European and Western countries.

Like any other banks nationwide, banks in Tabaco are open Mondays through
Fridays, from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. They are closed on Good Friday, Christmas,
New Year and special Holidays.
Credit Cards
Most banks and major establishments accept international credit cards such as
VISA, Diners, Mastercard. Evolution of Automated Teller Machine card such as
BPI Express Teller, Bancnet and Megalink could be availed in the BPI and Metrobank
Branch.
